Why have a camper interior in a 110
Good question! Well it all began five years ago when I drove to Mongolia in a Fiat Punto with just a camping stove, a pop-up tent and my girl friend to keep me company!
We soon realised that we couldn't just pop the tent anywhere we fancied, what with bad weather, slow border crossings and not always feeling safe in some of the places we found ourselves, so sleeping in the car happened more often.
What I needed was a vehicle that I could park anywhere, be it in a city or a desert, and no matter how bad the weather gets, whether I make it to my destination or not, I would be able to cook and sleep in comfort and safety.
A pop top roof is a fantastic addition to any camper allowing flexibility and plenty more space and if the weather's really bad you can always close the roof and sleep below.
Of course you don't have to put on a lifting roof to enjoy your
Defender as a camper, there is plenty of space for a bed and
cooking faciilities.
Interiors are designed and developed by us and are constructed
from flightcase materials for durability and/or light weight fibre
board.
It is fully insulated and boarded out and houses a fridge/freezer,sink with running water and Shurflo pump, 1500 watt inverter, LED lighting,
240V & 12V sockets, double bed with mattress, Storage cupboards with tuff storage boxes,
rear double step and more!
There are additional options such as Eberspacher heater and air
vents.
Each camper is unique and eveyone has different requirements, a guide package is listed below
but of course this can be altered to your specific requirements.
Unfortunately we cannot produce these as a flat packed item as
every Defender is unique in it’s own way and each interior always
requires a bit of tinkering to fit snugly!
This kind of conversion normally takes about 5 weeks to fit out and a full conversion would include the following:
